You can always guarantee that an awards ceremony held in Europe is going to give us some crackers in the 'what were they thinking' department. And right on cue, Heidi Klum hosted the 2012 European Music Awards (EMAs) — dressed in a series of frock horrors. Starting with that dreadful lace-up Versace dress she wore on the red carpet. With half a corn row head. Half a bad thing is actually not better in this instance.

The dresses went from bad to worse as we spiralled through gladiator heels, studded leather trims, white tulle and tie dyed denim. Not so bad on paper. Really, really bad in real life. Seriously.

And then there was Kim Kardashian. If you thought that six hideous dresses from Heidi couldn't be beaten, think again. This dress with a weird tail of glistening scales, may well win for worst dress of all.

But they call all breathe out. Pixie Geldof was there. Dressed in this. With that clutch. And shoes. And hair do(n't). And that's how you do worst dressed kids. Effortlessly.
