I saw on my Twitter feed that a lot of you watched the 2012 European Music Awards last night while I was in the land of nod. And it seems I chose well as there were some moans and groans about it all. Well, you are not going to like this post any more that you enjoyed the show, because I thought that Taylor Swift brought it big time on the red carpet. I think that she looked sensational in a white and silver slinky J.Mendel gown, with a smokey eyes and a nude lip. Stunning.

Also looking good was Alicia Keys in a green Stella McCartney illusion dress. It seems that Alicia has eventually got it together with regard wearing what suits her. It's taken a few years but here we are and we are delighted as she looks smashing. Except for one small thing. That choker. WHY? Sigh.

I also thought that Carly Rae Jepsen looked wonderful. I am not usually a fan of her style, but this Johanna Johnson silver dress, paired with that great red lip and nail colour was a total win that brought out her eyes and was more suitable for her age. Can you believe that she is actually 26 years old — and not the 18 or so that she usually dresses.

And then there was Rita Ora. We said we were going to keep an eye on her style. You couldn't miss it in this bold red whole lotta Marchesa dress. It's a beautiful dress. Was it totally appropriate for the occasion — maybe not. Did it make a statement — oh yes it did.
