CFDA and Vogue Fashion Fund Awards Red Carpet Best Dressed
The fashion body of America, the CFDA, paired up with Vogue magazine on Wednesday night to host the party where the fashion fund winners would be announced. It is always a big ticket draw when the CFDA and Vogue through a party and so the A-list steps out. But what did they wear? And was it successful? We can say a resounding 'yes' to Emma Stone, who wore a spectacularly good Burberry number — the first of the SS13 looks to be seen on a red carpet. This was, for me, the outfit of the night.
A close runner up — and yes I am biased due to her position in my fantasy fashion book club — was Alexa Chung, who wore Thakoon for the event. There was much speculation that this was vintage, but it only looked it. And Alexa spiced it up with her Tabitha Simmons red shoes, that matched her lip colour. A triumph in my view.
Erin Featherston looked utterly sensational in a dress from her own collection. I loved the ombre orange and the beautiful gold belt and bow. Divine.
Another lady to kill it in her own design was Jenna Lyons who wore shiny print J.Crew. And made it work. I want it please.
A final honourable mention goes to Allison Williams who wore a soft pink Peter Son dress and looked lovely even though the actual dress wasn't to everyone's taste. You can't please everyone all of the time. But I do think that Emma Stone managed to please almost everyone. What about you? Who was your favourite?
