Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, in LK Bennett Coat (Again)
To my knowledge this is the third time that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, has worn this red LK Bennett coat. Actually I have absolutely no problem with this at all. She slightly switches things up each time, wearing the integrated belt this time out — on the previous occasions she has worn a leather belt and no belt.
Kate also didn't wear her knee high suede boots, much to my relief, looking a tad more modern with her standard opaque tights and oft-worn suede courts. There is a simple little black dress under all that. Now. As a charity event — the British Legion Poppy Day Appeal — I am hugely in favour of refreshing wardrobe staples and giving them a new outing. I really, really wish more people in the public eye would operate like this. Big fan.
Also, Kate changed up her hair a bit. Those stupid ringlets are still there, and she still hasn't embraced the ponytail for a casual day affair (sigh), but her parting is a little more fresh as it is the rather more fashion-y middle part, rather than her usual off-centre part. Good. Every little helps.
