So it is semi-final week this week on the XFactor US. All season long I have enjoyed Demi Lovato's relentless TopShop outfits, that have been cool and interesting. Britney Spears has been more hit and miss. A little too much flesh. A little dated. But not completely cray — so we forgive and move on. But this dress — the one she is wearing this week — is simply TOO LOUD to ignore. So we must discuss it. I am sure you agree.

It is of course a bandage dress by Hervé Léger. The ubiquitous dress of Hollywood reality TV starlettes and actresses or singers who are a bit washed up. So it really isn't a surprise that Britney is wearing one. She has made a bit of a habit of wearing these skintight hold-it-all-in dresses.

I actually think that the colour is amazing on Britney. I also like her lovely sleek hair and her people did a better-than-usual job on her make up. I did not like the matching shoes at all. I felt a silver shoe may have been a bit more attractive. But did I like it over all? Let's be honest, the dress is tacky and ridiculously small and tight. So in theory I absolutely hate it. But she looks so pretty that I am going to ignore my better judgement and say, yes, I think she looks lovely. And anyway, shut your face, she's Britney, bitch.
